Indiana Wrestling Defeated at No. 2 Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ––– Indiana Wrestling suffered a 29-11 defeat to No. 2 Penn State on the road Sunday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center. The loss drops the Hoosiers' dual record to 2-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Big Ten.
KEY MOMENTS
• Graduate student and No. 19 ranked Brock Hudkins (133) had perhaps his most dominant win of the season, earning an 18-3, tech fall victory at the 5:30 mark over Baylor Shunk.
• Right after Hudkins' win, No. 26 ranked junior Cayden Rooks (141) pulled off a smooth, 9-4 win by decision over Brandon Meredith.
• Sophomore Derek Gilcher (157) owned a defensive battle over Tony Negron, winning by a 4-1 decision.
• After Gilcher's win, Indiana held an 11-6 lead at the half.
NOTABLES
• The win for Hudkins pushes keeps his season record perfect at 7-0. This was also his first tech fall victory of the season.
• Rooks' win snapped a two-bout losing streak and got him his first win of the Big Ten season.
