Olivia Smith Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's soccer midfielder Olivia Smith earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honors, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Smith scored her first collegiate goal in a 2-2 draw against Purdue last Sunday.

The Fischer, Ind. native, has played in 11 matches and earned her first career start against Indiana State. She has totaled nearly 390 minutes on the pitch this season.

The last Hoosier to win Big Ten Freshman of the Week was Jamie Gerstenberg on Sept. 14, 2021.

The Hoosiers will host Maryland in their last home match of the regular season. It will be broadcasted on BTN+ with kickoff set at 7 p.m. ET.
