TEAM
• All nine meetings between Indiana and Rutgers have come as Big Ten opponents and Indiana leads the all-time ledger, 5-4.
• Indiana's captains were AJ Barner, Devon Matthews, Tiawan Mullen and Jack Tuttle.
• Rutgers won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Indiana received the opening kickoff.
• With starts by offensive linemen Kahlil Benson and Joshua Sales Jr., 17 student-athletes have made their first career starts at Indiana in 2022. The list includes quarterback Connor Bazelak, wide receiver Cam Camper, wide receiver Andison Coby, offensive lineman Parker Hanna, linebacker Matt Hohlt, linebacker Bradley Jennings Jr., wide receiver Malachi Holt-Bennett, outside linebacker Myles Jackson, outside linebacker Dasan McCullough, offensive lineman Caleb Murphy, defensive lineman Beau Robbins, running back Shaun Shivers and wide receiver Emery Simmons.
• Indiana returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown for the first time since a 91-yard return for a score versus Akron by Ray Fisher in 2009.
• With Aaron Casey and Bradley Jennings Jr. both reaching double digits in tackles it is the first time since 2020 against Penn State that two Hoosiers posted double-digit stops in the same game (Micah McFadden, 11; Jamar Johnson, 10)

Connor Bazelak | QB | Jr.-R
• Rushed for a 7-yard touchdown in the first quarter to mark his third career rushing score and first as a Hoosier. It is his first rushing touchdown since 2020 against Georgia.
• Became the 11th Indiana quarterback (13th occasion) to complete 200 passes in the season and ended the day with 207 completions. He is currently No. 11 on the single season charts, one completion shy of Steve Bradley (208; 1984).
• Became the 15th quarterback (20th occasion) in IU history to eclipse the 2,000-yard mark in a season and ended the game with 2,099. He currently sits No. 19 on the single-season charts behind Gibran Hamdan (2,115; 2002).
Charles Campbell | K | Sr.-R
• Is now 37-of-46 on career field goal attempts and 12-of-15 on the season.
• With five points in the game, Campbell moved into No. 14 on Indiana's all-time scoring list with 175 career points to move past Tevin Coleman (174; 2012-14) and Logan Justus (173; 2016-19). Next on the list is Jade Butcher (180; 1967-69)
• Currently ranks No. 8 on the career field goals list at Indiana with 37 makes. He trails Andy Payne (43; 1997-2000) and Austin Starr (43; 2006-08) for No. 6 on the all-time list.

• Posted third career double-digit tackle game of his career - all coming in 2022 - with 10 stops.
Demarcus Elliott | DL | Sr.+
• Made 38th career start, which leads all Hoosiers.
• Matched his career high with five tackles.

• Pinned Rutgers inside the 10-yard line once and now has 13 career punts downed inside the opponents 10-yard line.
Bryant Fitzgerald | DB | Sr.-R+
• Played in his 53rd career game and made his 31st career start, which ranks tied for No. 3 on the team (Devon Matthews).
Matt Hohlt | LB | Fr.-R
• Logged a career-high four tackles.
Bradley Jennings Jr. | LB | Sr.-R+
• Posted second career double-digit tackle game of his career - both coming in 2022 - with 11 stops.
Jaylin Lucas | RB | Fr.
• Returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to mark the first kickoff return for a touchdown since Tevin Coleman at Northwestern in 2012.
• The 93-yard return is the longest since Coleman's 96-yard burst versus Northwestern in 2012.

• Made his 31st career start, which ranks tied for No. 3 on the team (Bryant Fitzgerald).
