Salyers Honored as Big Ten Golfer of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana junior Drew Salyers was named the Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week for the fourth time in his career and second time in as many weeks, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
He is the only player in the conference to earn this distinction twice this season.
Salyers posted his second-straight tournament victory at The Williams Cup after shooting a 212 (72-70-70; -4). He led the 60-player field with 16 birdies across all three rounds. He was tied for second in Par 3 scoring (2.92) and Par 4 scoring (3.90).
The win marked the third of his career and came just one week after turning in a historic performance at the Quail Valley Invitational in which he shot a 199 (65-65-69; -17).
The Williams Cup marked the ninth top-10 of his collegiate career. Salyers previously earned Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week honors on Sept. 8 and 22, 2021 and on Oct. 19, 2022.
Indiana will take the remainder of the fall off before heading to Hammock Beach, Fla. for the Big Ten Match Play Championship on Feb. 4. The Hoosiers will enter the event as back-to-back champions.
