BLOOMINGTON, Ind– Indiana women's tennis program has announced three to their signing class for 2023 adding Nicole Teodosescu, Sarah L'allier and Li Hsin Lin.
Teodosescu (Italy) will be joining the squad in January of 2023 making an immediate impact for the Hoosiers. She has competed in nine professional 15k tournaments in the past year. She has accumulated 3 ITF Women's ranking points on the year.
"We are very excited for Nicole to join us this January as we start our spring dual match season," head coach Ramiro Azcui said. "She brings with her a high level of playing experience on the Women's ITF Circuit. Her character and dedication to the sport will fit perfectly into our current team culture and help us continue to pursue our goals as a team."
L'allier (Canada) has won 3 ITF titles in the last year. She also was crowned the u18 National doubles champion. L'allier has 10 provincial titles. Her best Canadian singles ranking is third. L'allier's best doubles ranking comes in at fourth in the country.
Li Hsin Lin (Taiwan) is ranked top-10 in the Taiwanese junior tennis rankings. She finished runner-up in singles and doubles at the Junior ITF Grade 5 event. She has played in four professional 15k events in the past year accumulating four ITF Women's ranking points.
"We couldn't be more excited to officially welcome Sarah and Li Hsin to our program in the Fall of 2023," Azcui said. "Throughout the process, we immediately recognized the intangibles we look for in recruiting with high character, work ethic, and love for the game. They bring a wealth of international playing experience both on the junior circuit as well as the Professional circuit, and they both have high goals for themselves as players. We can't wait to see what the future holds for them here at IU!"
