"I can't even tell you of how proud I am of our group tonight. The stat sheet has things that just jump out at you in the 21 assists, 10 turnovers. We had three kids who took charges tonight, Sydney Parrish having two, Chloe Moore McNeil having one and Yarden Garzon having one. We knew that we it was going to be a tale of two really good teams going at it. We are on the road, so we expected the hostile environment that was here tonight. Really, really happy with how we handled ourselves, how we shared the ball and how we answered the call when it felt like Tennessee started making a run. We came back with a run out. I thought our activity and our gaps were extra special tonight. It made it really difficult. We tried to clog in our gaps and try to make it harder for them. We wanted (Rickea) Jackson to be a jump shooter tonight. We didn't do a great job on some of their shooters as well as we wanted to, but at the end of the night we did enough. The rebounding was going to be the key tonight. We outrebounded them by two. I don't care if that is one or two, we outrebounded Tennessee and that was the most important key to the game tonight."

KEY MOMENTS
- Graduate student guard Grace Berger put the Hoosiers (3-0) on top first with a pair of buckets as they put on the gas midway through the first frame with a bucket off the inbound from freshman guard Yarden Garzon which sparked an 10-0 run for the Hoosiers.
- Junior guard Sydney Parrish stopped and popped from long range and Holmes finished in transition to take a 16-0 lead with 3:33 to play. An 11-0 run propelled them to a 22-14 lead after the first.
- Indiana led by as many as 13 in the second quarter, as senior guard Sara Scalia connected on the triple in transition at the 7:48 mark. Fighting off a run by the Lady Vols (1-2), Scalia hit again from the arc while Parrish and Holmes finished things off to give IU the 40-29 lead at the break. Tennessee cuts the lead to single digits on back-to-back 3-pointers but a nice find by Garzon to Holmes for a pair in the paint pushed IU's lead back to 10, 52-42 at the media timeout.
- They would go on to lead by six to end the third quarter as it
- Shooting 61.5 percent in the fourth quarter, Indiana used eight points from Holmes and six from Moore McNeil to fend off a Lady Vol comeback attempt. With 7:05 to play in the game, the lead was trimmed down to just four.
- IU would starve off attempts including a transition opportunity by Moore McNeil at the rim and Scalia's floater with 4:02 remaining gave her team back a double-digit margin they would keep for good.
