• No. 12/13 Indiana (3-0) defeated RV/RV Xavier (3-1), 81-79, on Friday night at the Cintas Center.
• Indiana leads the all-time series over Xavier, 9-1.
• Indiana played in their fifth game in the seven-year history of the Gavitt Games. The Hoosiers are 4-1 in the series with wins over Creighton (86-65 in 2015), Marquette (96-73 in 2018), St. John's (76-74 in 2021) and Xavier.
• Indiana will head to Indianapolis for their next game as the Hoosiers take on Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
• Indiana shot 30-of-58 (51.7%) from the field.
• Indiana outrebounded Xavier, 37-34.
• The Hoosiers scored 50 of their points from the paint.
• IU scored 15 points on second-chance opportunities and off Xavier turnovers.

• Fifth-year senior Xavier Johnson had 23 points on a 7-of-8 shooting night. Johnson also recorded seven rebounds and two assists.
• This was the 14th time Johnson had scored 20 or more points in a game.
• Freshman Malik Reneau accounted for 12 points and six rebounds off the bench.
• Fifth-year senior Miller Kopp scored seven points in the game, including a key 3-pointer at the 2:25 mark in the second half to give Indiana an eight-point lead, 78-70.
• Sixth-year senior Race Thompson recorded five points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists.
• Freshman Jalen Hood-Schifino notched three points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
• Junior Jordan Geronimo had one point and one rebound.
