Cerame, Haworth Earn Big Ten Weekly Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Career bests paired with outstanding wins over Northwestern and No. 5 Ohio State earned Paula Cerame and Camryn Haworth a spot on the Big Ten's Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Cerame was named Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week while Haworth earned a nod as the league's Setter of the Week.
This marks the first time in program history that the Hoosiers have placed two on the conference's weekly honor roll in the same week.
The duo helped make history this weekend, first earning a tough win over Northwestern before picking off No. 5 Ohio State for the program's first road win against a top-five team.
Haworth had one of the best stat lines in the nation this weekend, combining for 82 assists, 27 digs, 18 kills, 11 blocks and one ace in two matches.
The Fishers, Ind. native had the program's first triple-double since 2001 on Friday with a remarkable 37 assists, 11 digs and 10 kills. She also tallied seven blocks, finishing just three away from a quadruple-double.
She followed that performance with a double-double (45 assists, 16 digs) in the victory over the No. 5 Buckeyes. Haworth becomes the first Hoosier in program history to win Big Ten Setter of the Week.
Cerame was fantastic out of the back row this weekend, combining for 52 digs in two matches including a career best 29 against Ohio State.
The San Juan, Puerto Rico native had 23 digs and six assists against Northwestern before following that up with her first career double-double (29 digs, 12 assists) in the victory over the Buckeyes.
She becomes the first IU player to win Defensive Player of the Week laurels since Leyla Blackwell earned the honor on Feb. 8, 2020.
Cerame's 29 digs against Ohio State marked the sixth most in a single game in program history and the second most in one match during the rally era.
IU returns home to face Illinois (Nov. 23) and Maryland (Nov. 25) in the final two matches of the regular season as the program pushes for its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2010.
