• No. 13/14 Indiana (1-0) beat Morehead State (0-1), 88-53, in the team's season opener on Monday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• The Hoosiers are 23-1 in the program's last 24 season openers.
• Indiana is 6-0 all-time vs. Morehead State. The last meeting came on Dec. 5, 2015, when the Hoosiers won 92-59 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Indiana is 26-0 against teams currently residing in the Ohio Valley Conference.
• Morehead State's 53 points allowed were the fewest allowed by an opponent in an Indiana season opener since Nov. 13, 2015 when Indiana beat Eastern Illinois, 88-49.

• Freshman Malik Reneau scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting in his first career appearance. The freshman also grabbed five rebounds and had two blocks.
• Reneau's 15 points were the most by an Indiana freshman in their debut since Romeo Langford scored 19 against Chicago State on Nov. 6, 2018.
• Junior Jordan Geronimo had 10 points and two rebounds. The Newark, N.J., native has scored in double figures in five career games.
• Sixth-year senior Race Thompson accounted for nine points, two rebounds, and two assists.
• Sophomore Tamar Bates notched nine points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
• Fifth-year senior Miller Kopp scored eight points and was 2-of-2 from the 3-point line. Kopp also grabbed three rebounds.
• Freshman Jalen Hood-Schifino made his first career start and had seven points, four assists, and two rebounds.
• Freshman Kaleb Banks scored five points in his first appearance.
• Fifth-year senior Xavier Johnson scored four points and had three assists.
• Junior Trey Galloway notched two points and three rebounds.
• Sophomore Logan Duncomb had two points, a rebound, and a block.
• Freshman CJ Gunn scored two points on the night.
• Junior Anthony Leal grabbed one rebound.
