"That was a good first win under our belt. I thought there were a lot of really good moments. We certainly have some work to do defensively especially with some of our new faces that are trying to understand our defensive system. I think there were a few slippages in there, rotations missed primarily by our new kids whether they were freshman or Alyssa Geary. We have to keep doing what we are doing, whether that is spending time in practice, making sure they are where they need to be inside of our defensive principles and system. I know that we will continue to get better on that side. Offensively, some really good things. We have talked about Yarden (Garzon). Tonight, I think you got a glimpse of what she can do. That is positive for our team. We had 12 threes tonight. Last year it would have taken us three or four games to get 12 threes. That is a really good start for us in terms of shooting the ball. Great energy from the bench. The other night, Syd (Sydney Parrish) gave us great energy, and tonight she gave us great energy. Lily Meister came in the third and did some really great things off the bench as a freshman. I thought Lexi (Bargesser), when she was in, gave us great minutes pressuring the basketball. I thought the rest of the pieces … Grace was Grace. She is our leader and is so even keel in every scenario out there. She gets people where we need them to be, and that is something different that she has never done in her career. But this is good for her because at some point, she will be a pro. She has to learn to play with the ball, off the ball, so this experience that she is getting is really valuable. Great first win for us, and I am happy for this group. They have worked hard the last couple of days after this exhibition game trying to improve on some of the things we asked them to do. So, it's a good night for the Hoosiers."
