Men’s DMR Collects B1G Athlete of the Week Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference announced their final Athlete of the Week awards for the indoor season on Wednesday afternoon. Indiana Track & Field saw its distance medley relay squad earn Men's Big Ten Athletes of the Week accolades.
Over the weekend, Camden Marshall, Kenny Benton, Parker Raymond, and Ben Veatch combined for a time of 9:22.35 to capture bronze at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Their time is a Big Ten record as well as an IU record. The Hoosiers currently sit at No. 6 in the NCAA headed into the conference championship weekend.
Looking at the splits, Marshall led off the relay in the 1200m with a time of 2:54.3. Kenny Benton saw a personal best 400m as he went 46.0. Parker Raymond ran the 800m leg where he picked up a time of 1:48.6. Ben Veatch ran the anchor mile where he threw down an impressive time of 3:53.95.
Indiana will compete next at the 2022 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships which are set for February 25 and 26 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva. Ohio.
