• Indiana (17-10, 8-9) beat Maryland (13-15, 5-12), 74-64, on Thursday night in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Indiana has now won three consecutive games over Maryland, dating back to the 2020-2021 season.
• Indiana wore its third alternate uniform of the season. The jerseys were part of Adidas' Honoring Black Excellence (HBE) initiative, celebrating the achievements of Black individuals and Black culture as a whole. HBE pays homage and recognizes individuals who are positively impacting others' lives within and around their communities.
• Indiana head coach Mike Woodson and Maryland head coach Danny Manning combined to score 5,021 points in college and both averaged 14.0 points in the NBA.
• The Hoosiers shot 59.6% from the field and 38.5% from the 3-point line.
• In the second half, Indiana shot 75% from the field, the highest percentage since the second half of the Syracuse game on Nov. 30, when Indiana shot 74.1%.
• Indiana's defense held Maryland to a 6:58 scoring drought in the first half from the 9:38 to the 2:40 mark of the first half.
• The Hoosiers forced Maryland to commit 16 turnovers and scored 22 points off them.
• Indiana outrebounded Maryland, 27-25.
• The Hoosiers will have a road contest up on Sunday, Feb. 27 at Minnesota for a 6 p.m. tip-off at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.
• Senior/Junior Xavier Johnson led all scorers with 24 points while shooting 7-of-7 from the field and 3-of-3 from the 3-point line. Johnson also had six assists and a steal, too.
• Redshirt Senior/Redshirt Junior Race Thompson had 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds.
• Tonight, marks eight consecutive games with Thompson scoring in double-figures.
• Junior/Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis registered 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks.
• Jackson-Davis has had multiple blocks in 19 of 27 games.
• Senior/Junior Miller Kopp chipped in eight points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
• Redshirt Senior/Redshirt Junior Parker Stewart had five points for the night.
• Freshman Tamar Bates accounted for three points.
• Sophomore/Freshman Anthony Leal registered three points off the bench.
• Sophomore/Freshman Jordan Geronimo had two points and two rebounds.
• Senior/Junior Michael Durr had two rebounds and two assists.
• Freshman Logan Duncomb checked in at the end of the game.
