Hoosiers Shutout Hofstra to Close Weekend in Florida

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Indiana softball team closed the weekend with a commanding 6-0 win over Hofstra on Sunday.
Key Moments
• In the second inning Sarah Stone hit a triple and Lindsey Warick drove her in with an RBI single to put the Hoosiers up 1-0.
• In the third inning Cora Bassett hit a home run to center field to put the Hoosiers up 2-0.
• In the fourth inning the Hoosiers added two runs on Hofstra errors.
• In the fifth inning a Grace Lorsung sacrifice fly scored Brooke Benson and put the Hoosiers up 5-0.
• In the sixth Tatum Hayes singled, stole second, advanced to third on an error and scored on a Warick sacrifice fly to put the Hoosiers up 6-0.

• The Hoosiers improve to 5-4 on the season.
• The home run by Bassett was her second of the weekend and third this season.
• Indiana stole six bases in the game against Hofstra and 15 on the weekend. The Hoosiers have 26 stolen bases through nine games this season.
• Heather Johnson picked up the first win of her career with a complete game and six strikeouts.
• Lindsey Warick went 2-2 with two hits and two RBI.
