• Indiana (16-7, 7-6) lost to Northwestern (12-10, 5-8), 59-51, on Tuesday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill.

• IU's defense forced Northwestern to shoot 31.9% from the field and 18.5% from the 3-point line.

• The Indiana defense held Northwestern to 17 points under their season average of 76 points per game.

• As a team, Indiana blocked seven shots to Northwestern's two.

• The Hoosiers will stay on the road for their next game as they'll face No. 17/17 Michigan State on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich.

• Redshirt Senior/Redshirt Junior Race Thompson led Indiana in scoring with 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, too.
