Darkness Suspends Second Round at Briar’s Creek

JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C. – The Indiana women's golf team is 17-over par after getting through the majority of two rounds at the Briar's Creek Invitational at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek after before play was suspended due to darkness on Monday.

The Hoosiers are in 17th place through Monday's action.

CHIP-INS
• Freshman Áine Donegan paced the Hoosiers with an even-par 72 in the first round. She finished 16 holes in the second round and is currently 5-over. She tallied birdies on No. 3, No. 5 and No. 18 during the opening round.
• Freshman Margaret Fernandez shot a 74 (+2) in the opening round and is 4-over through 16 holes in the second round. She played a team-best four birdies in the first round, including efforts on No. 4, No. 7, No. 11 and No. 13.
• Junior Valerie Clancy played a first-round scorecard of 80 (+8) but rallied to shoot 2-over through her first 15 holes in the second round. She put home two birdie tries on No. 7 and No. 11.
• Fifth-year senior Mary Parsons is 8-over through 14 tee boxes in the second round after shooting a 3-over 75 in the debut round. She provided a highlight with an eagle on No. 7 to go along with a birdie on the 18th green.
• Senior Alexis Miestowski fired a 78 (+6) in the first round and is 6-over through 25 second-round holes. She tallied back-to-back birdies on No. 11 and 12 in the first round.
