Indiana at No. 8/9 Purdue

• Indiana (18-12, 9-11) lost a hard-fought matchup against the No. 8/9 Purdue (25-6, 14-6), 69-67, on Saturday Mackey Arena.
• The game marked the final of the regular season for the Hoosiers. Indiana will be the No. 9 seed in the 2022 Big Ten Tournament and will play at 11:30 a.m. ET against the No. 8 seed on Thursday, March 10 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• Indiana closed the first half on a 9-0 run and went to the locker rooms down 33-29. The Hoosiers went on an 11-0 run during the middle of the second half to gain the first lead of the second half at 51-48.
• The Hoosiers outshot the Boilermakers, holding the home team to 23-of-58 shooting (39.7%) from the floor. IU hit 26-of-60 attempts (43.3%) for the game.
• Indiana knocked down all 10 free throw attempts. IU last converted 100% of their free throw attempts on double-digit attempts at Maryland (16-of-16) on Jan. 11, 2019.
• For the eighth time this season Indiana committed fewer than 10 turnovers (9 total). Purdue gave away 11 turnovers that led to 15 Hoosier points.
• IU held a 28-26 advantage on defensive rebounds and outscored the bigger Purdue squad, 30-24, in points in the paint. The Hoosiers also outpaced the Boilers 12-8 in transition.
• Senior/Junior Xavier Johnson secured his third career double-double and first of the season with a team-best 18 points and a career-high 12 assists. He is the fourth Hoosier to collect a double-double this season.
• The game marked his sixth with 10-plus assists in his career.
• Johnson also posted a team-best three steals, his second-straight game with three steals.
• Junior/Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 15 points to go along with six rebounds and a pair of blocks. After tonight's performance, Jackson-Davis he remains No. 18 on Indiana's All-Time Scoring List with 1,471 career points. He is 17 points shy of the 17th spot held by Bracey Wright (1,498).
• Senior/Junior Miller Kopp scored 14 points, his highest point total since tallying a career-best 28 points at Syracuse on Nov. 30, 2021. He knocked down 4-of-5 shots from the 3-point line, tied for the most triples in a game (at Syracuse) for him this season. He added three rebounds.
• Redshirt Senior/Redshirt Junior Race Thompson pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds in addition to nine points and a steal. The game marked the ninth time this season in which he grabbed double-digit boards.
• Redshirt Senior/Redshirt Junior Parker Stewart tallied five points, four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes of run.
• Senior/Junior Rob Phinisee scored four points.
• Senior/Junior Michael Durr notched two points, three rebounds and a steal in eight bench minutes.
• Sophomore/Freshman Jordan Geronimo had one rebound and a block in 13 minutes off the bench.
• Freshman Tamar Bates played six minutes.
