Hoosiers Compete in Session I of Big Ten Championships

LINCOLN, NEB. ––– Indiana Wrestling competed in Session I of the Big Ten Wrestling Championships on Saturday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

KEY MOMENTS

Five Hoosiers earned victories across the course of the first two rounds of wrestling including Brock Hudkins (133), Cayden Rooks (141), and Graham Rooks (149) each advancing out of the first round in the winner's bracket.
C. Rooks' round win over No. 4 Chad Red (NEB) is arguably the marquee upset of the Big Ten Championships thus far.
Jacob Moran (125) and Derek Gilcher (157) earned wins in the first consolation round.
There were three Indiana matches that went to Sudden Victory.
Donnell Washington (184) and Jacob Bullock (285) each received a bye in the first consolation round.
