
Hoosiers Hit Three Home Runs, Fall 8-6 at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Indiana softball team recorded eight hits, including three home runs, but dropped a 8-6 game at Penn State on Sunday.
Key Moments
• In the first inning Cora Bassett doubled and advanced to third and came home on a Brianna Copeland sac fly to put the Hoosiers up 1-0.
• Penn State hit a two-run home run in the bottom half of the first and added a third run on a sac fly in the second to go up 3-1.
• Penn State hit a solo shot in the third inning to increase their lead to 4-1.
• In the fourth inning Grayson Radcliffe walked and Brittany Ford homered to right center to put the Hoosiers within one at 4-3.
• Penn State scored four in the fourth to extend their lead to 8-3.
• Brooke Benson led off the fifth inning with a solo home run and Cora Bassett singled and later came home to push the Hoosiers within three at 8-5.
• Cora Bassett led off the seventh inning for the Hoosiers with a home run to bring the score to 8-6.
