Donegan Named All-Big Ten Second Team

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana freshman Áine Donegan was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
"Áine is such a special player to coach," head coach Emily Kuhfeld said. "She is relentless in continuing to improve her game, and I admire her strong work ethic. She shines as a teammate with energy, humor and kindness towards her team and has worked hard to help move our program forward. I am so proud of her, and she is such a deserving student athlete for this honor."
Donegan becomes the 34th Hoosier to be named to the All-Big Ten team since the inception of the award in 1982 and the first since 2020 (Priscilla Schmid).
During her debut collegiate season, Donegan set the Indiana University single-season and freshman stroke average (72.92). She played all 26 rounds for the Hoosiers in nine events. She placed inside the top-10 in four events and was twice a top-5 finisher. Her first collegiate victory came in the Courtney Cole Invitational.
Donegan was named the Big Ten Co-Women's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 6.
Fifth-year senior Mary Parsons was named Indiana's recipient of the 2022 Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree.
