Hoosiers Win 4-3 Thriller to Advance in Big Ten Tournament

MADISON, Wis. – The No. 10 seed Indiana men's tennis team came back from a 3-2 deficit to beat No. 7 seed Penn State 4-3 and advance in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday.
The Hoosiers advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on No. 2 seed Michigan on Friday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
The Hoosiers (6-17) won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to start the match against the Nittany Lions.
Indiana won by default at No. 6 singles to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Penn State came back to win three singles matches and take a 3-2 lead.
At No. 5 singles Michael Andre dropped his first set 6-3, but came back to win the second set, 7-5.
Patrick Fletchall won a third set tiebreak to bring the Hoosiers even with the Nittany Lions 3-3.
Andre delivered for the Hoosiers with a commanding performance in the third set as he won the set 6-1 to clinch the match for the Hoosiers. On match point Andre finished it off with an ace.
