Hoosier Wrestling Alum Nate Jackson Qualifies for Final X Stillwater

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana Wrestling alum Nate Jackson won the 92 kg bracket in the USA Wrestling World Team Trials Challenge over the weekend in Coralville, Iowa. The win clinched Jackson a spot in Final X Stillwater where he will face off against J'den Cox (CKWC/TMWC) for a spot on USA Wrestling's 2022 Senior World Team.
Jackson, who wrestled as part of the New York Athletic Club/New Jersey Regional Training Center, was dominant all weekend. He won his four matches by a combined score of 40-0.
In the 92 kg bracket's championship round, Jackson swept North Carolina State's Isaac Trumble with a 10-0 tech fall victory in the first match that only lasted 41 seconds and an 8-0 win in the second bout to seal his championship.

Final X Stillwater will take place on Friday, June 3 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla. Jackson will wrestle Cox in a best of three series to determine qualification for the 2022 World Team.
Jackson currently serves as an assistant coach for Princeton's wrestling program and has been with the team for five seasons. As a Hoosier, Jackson was a three-time NCAA qualifier and two-time All-American in 2016 and 2017 at 174 and 184 lbs., respectively.
