BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After weather delayed the meet, Indiana Track & Field completed the first day of the men's portion of the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Wednesday.

KEY MOMENTS
• Sean Mockler started the day off for the Hoosiers in hammer throw where he advanced to the national meet with a mark of 67.56m (221' 8").
• Camden Marshall will appear in the 800m quarterfinal, advancing on time. Marshall crossed in a time of 1.48.94.
• Shaton Vaughn followed it up by advancing to the quarterfinal of the 400m hurdles. Vaughn grabbed an auto-qualifying spot with a time of 51.17.

NOTABLES
• Sean Mockler will make his first appearance at NCAA National Championships as he qualified in the hammer throw.
• This is the first time in Shaton Vaughn's career that he has advanced to the quarterfinal of the 400m hurdles.
• Freshman Camden Marshall will make his debut in an NCAA Quarterfinal with his time of 1:48.94 in the 800m.

UP NEXT

The Hoosiers will return to action on Thursday, May 26 where the women will kick off their portion of the event. Makayla Hunter in the first round of the javelin will be the first event for IU beginning at 2 p.m.
