ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Indiana women's golf freshman Áine Donegan shot a 1-over 72 at the U-M Golf Course during the first round of the 2022 NCAA Ann Arbor Regional on Monday. She is currently tied for fifth place heading into the second round.

CHIP-INS
• Donegan played a 1-over scorecard of 72 through the first 18 holes of the tournament with birdie conversions on No. 7 and No. 13.
• After a bogey on the opening hole followed by five-consecutive pars, the All-Big Ten Second Team selection snuck in an 8-foot putt for birdie on the seventh green to even up her scorecard.
• She followed the birdie with a par, before giving a stroke back on the ninth green. Three-straight pars to open the back nine gave way to her second birdie on No. 13.
• Donegan closed the round with a bogey on No. 15 before carding three-straight pars from No. 16-18.
• The low four teams and the low two individuals, not on one of those teams, will advance to the NCAA Championships to be played from May 20-25 at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
