
Burdová Commits to Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's golf head coach Brian May announced the addition of transfer Dominika Burdová on Wednesday.
"Really excited to add Dominika to the Hoosier family," said May. "She is a true competitor who is ready to come in and make an immediate impact."

Burdová joins the Hoosier women's golf team after playing two seasons at Gardner Webb after a successful high school career for head coach Ondrej Lébl. She helped propel her team to a third-place finish in the Czech National Championship of High Schools. As an individual, Burdová claimed victories at the Faldo Series 2019 Czech Championship and Grabmasters 2020. She also finished with runner-up honors in both the Czech International Junior Amateur Championship and the Czech International Match Play Championship in 2021.
Previously this week, Burdová finished as the runner up in the Czech International Match Play Championship.
The Runnin' Bulldogs placed second at the 2021 Big South Championships. She was twice named to the Dean's List. Her two-year career average checks in at 75.4 strokes per round with a head-to-head winning percentage of nearly 70%.
Burdová starting playing the game of golf at five years old and enjoys playing floorball and riding horses.
She will have three of eligibility remaining and will focus her studies on news editorial journalism. She is the daughter of Tomáš Burda and Alena Burdová and has two siblings, Katerina Sobotová and Barbora Burdová.
