
ACWPC Names Four Hoosiers All-America Honorable Mentions

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Four players have earned ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention awards, announced on Wednesday afternoon. Senior goalie Mary Askew, junior utility Zoe Crouch, senior attacker Tina Doherty, and senior center Izzy Mandema each made the 2022 list, marking the first time IU has had four student-athletes on the All-America teams.
Askew's impressive senior season has earned her a second ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention award. Askew saw 776:52 minutes on the year, and started in 26 out of the 26 games she played in. The senior goalie totaled 245 saves on the year, resulting in a cumulative 612 career saves. Askew has moved up to seventh place in all-time career saves at Indiana. The Fremont, Calif. native tallied 24 steals and eight assists on the year as well.
Doherty capped off her senior season with her 3rd ACWPC All-America award. Doherty earned ACWPC All-America Third Team honors in 2020, and has earned ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention awards in 2021 as well as 2022 for her spectacular senior season. Doherty's 48 goals put her at 190 career goals overall, placing her at seventh all-time in career goals scored in program history. The Foothill Ranch, Calif. also earned an MPSF All-Academic honors during the 2022 season.
Mandema wraps up her collegiate career with her second ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention award. The All-MPSF Second Team honoree earned 60 goals, 15 steals, six assists, and 110 drawn exclusions in her senior season. Mandema's 60 goals put her at 188 career goals, which sits at eighth in all-time goals scored in program history. The Atherton, Calif. native also landed a spot on the MPSF All-Academic list.
