EUGENE, Ore. – Indiana Track & Field concluded day two of 2022 Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday night at Hayward Field.
KEY MOMENTS
• Paola Fernandez-Sola kicked off the meet for the Hoosiers as she competed in the long jump. Fernandez-Sola leaped a mark of 6.18m (20' 3.5") and finished in 14th.
• Maddy Pollard placed 16th in the shot put with a mark of 16.63m (54' 6.75").
• Jayden Ulrich also competed in the shot put as she put a mark of 16.62m (54' 6.5") to place 17th.
NOTABLES
• With her place of 14th, Paola Fernandez- Sola is an All-American Second Team selection. This is the first of her career.
• Maddy Pollard placed 16th in the shot put final to earn Second Team All-American honors.
UP NEXT
The Hoosiers will be back in action on Saturday, June 11 when they wrap up the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Mahogany Jenkins is set to compete in the high jump while Jayden Ulrich is slated for the discus.
