Men’s Golf 2022-23 Slate Unveiled

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana head men's golf coach Mike Mayer announced the program's 2022-23 schedule on Wednesday morning. The schedule includes 11 regular season events, highlighted by the Hoosier Collegiate at The Pfau Course in April of 2023.

"Our 2022-23 schedule will give us the opportunity to compete against many of the top teams in the country at some of the best tournaments and venues in college golf," said Coach Mayer. "It will help us as we prepare to make a run at the 2023 Big Ten Championship and our ultimate goal of an NCAA championship."

Indiana will kick the season off at the Fighting Irish Classic, the first of three tournaments in the month of September. The event will be held from Sept. 4-5 on the Warren Golf Course in South Bend. IU will then head to Chicago for the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational from Sept. 16-18 before closing the month at the Windon Memorial Classic at the in Skokie, Ill. from Sept. 26-27.

The fall slate of the schedule will conclude with three tournaments in the month of October, including a return trip to West Lafayette for the Purdue Fall Invitational, an event won by the Hoosiers in 2021, at the Kampen Golf Course on Oct. 10-11. Indiana will then head south for a pair of tournaments in the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 16-17) and the Williams Cup (Oct. 21-23).

The spring season will begin with the Big Ten Match Play Championship at the Ocean Golf Club in Hammock Beach, Fla. from Feb. 4-5. The Hoosiers are the back-to-back defending champions of the event after besting the Michigan State Spartans 3-2 in the final match in 2022. This season will mark the ninth-straight year in which the tournament has been played in Hammock Beach.

After a month away from competition, Indiana will jump back into action at the Colleton River Collegiate on March 6-7 at the Colleton River Club in Bluffton, S.C. A week later the squad will head down to Tallahassee, Fla. for the Florida State Invitational (March 13-14).

IU will then host the Hoosier Collegiate from April 8-9 at the pristine Pfau Course before closing the regular season at the Fighting Illini Collegiate (April 22-23) at Atkins Golf Course on the campus of Illinois.

Postseason play will begin with the Big Ten Championships at Galloway National Golf Course from April 28-30 in Galloway, N.J. NCAA Regionals will take place May 15-17 with the NCAA Finals May 26-31 in at the Grayhawk Golf Course in Scottsdale, Ariz.
