Indiana Field Hockey Unveils Spirit Themes for 2022 Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– The Indiana Field Hockey team has announced its slate of spirit game themes for select home games throughout the 2022 season.
Spirit Themes:
Liberty – August 28 – Hat Game
Ball State – September 9 – Pediatric Cancer Awareness Game
Bellarmine – September 11 – Youth Clinic
Longwood – September 18 – International Day
Miami (OH) – September 25 – Faculty and Staff Appreciation
Penn State – October 2 – Breast Cancer Awareness
Ohio State – October 21 – Alumni Game and Title IX Celebration
Ohio – October 23 – Senior Day
Northwestern – October 28 – LGBTQ+ Pride Game
Spirit Themes:
Liberty – August 28 – Hat Game
- Fans are encouraged to wear a hat to the game.
Ball State – September 9 – Pediatric Cancer Awareness Game
- Fans are encouraged to wear gold for pediatric cancer awareness.
Bellarmine – September 11 – Youth Clinic
- Children who are in eighth grade or younger can sign up to take part in an on-field clinic pregame hosted by Indiana Field Hockey players where participating children will take part in fun games and learn drills.
- The clinic will take place prior to the game.
- Appropriate sign-up forms and waiver must be completed prior to clinic.
- Further information and forms will be made available soon.
Longwood – September 18 – International Day
- All nationalities will be celebrated and recognized at the game and in the sport of field hockey.
- International players from the Indiana and Longwood rosters will be recognized prior to the game.
Miami (OH) – September 25 – Faculty and Staff Appreciation
- Players will invite a professor or staff member who has made an impact on them to be recognized prior to the game.
Penn State – October 2 – Breast Cancer Awareness
- Fans are encouraged to wear pink for breast cancer awareness.
Ohio State – October 21 – Alumni Game and Title IX Celebration
- Indiana Field Hockey alumni are invited to come back and be recognized pregame with PA recognition and photos.
- A PA read discussing a history of Title IX and celebrating its 50th anniversary will be conducted pregame.
Ohio – October 23 – Senior Day
- The program's seniors –– Kennedy Reardon and Madi Guyer –– will be recognized and celebrated.
- There will be a pregame celebration ceremony to honor their hard work and collegiate careers.
Northwestern – October 28 – LGBTQ+ Pride Game
- Indiana Field Hockey will celebrate inclusivity and acceptance as part of its Pride game.
