Kennedy Reardon and Sydney Keld Named Team Captains

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– The Indiana Field Hockey team has selected senior Kennedy Reardon and redshirt junior Sydney Keld as the team captains for the 2022 season.
"Kennedy and Sydney have proven to be exemplary individuals over the years and always put the program first," Indiana coach Kayla Bashore said. "They have represented the athletic department, University and community so well on and off the field."
Both players have been integral parts of the program's success in their time as Hoosiers.
Reardon has been a staple of the IU lineup for years, as she has made 35 consecutive starts dating back to her sophomore season and played in all 17 games during her freshman season in 2019. She has recorded four career goals, including two in the 2021 season.
Keld enjoyed a breakout season in 2021, as she started in all 20 games for the Indiana defense. She was fourth in the team in points (11), led the team in defensive saves (3) and notched the game-winning goal against Richmond (Sept. 19) in a 1-0 victory.
This is both Reardon and Keld's first time being a team captain at Indiana.
