Indiana Field Hockey Lands Three on the Big Ten's Preseason Watch List

BLOOMINGTON, IND. ––––– The Big Ten Conference announced its 2022 Players To Watch List on Wednesday.
Indiana's Jemima Cookson, Sydney Keld, and Yip van Wonderen were selected for the list.
Keld, a redshirt-junior, was recently named a team captain for the Hoosiers. She enjoyed a breakout season in 2021, as she started in all 20 games for the Indiana defense. She was fourth in the team in points (11), led the team in defensive saves (3) and notched the game-winning goal against Richmond (Sept. 19) in a 1-0 victory.
Cookson is a junior forward who recorded two assists and the opening goal of the match against No. 9 Maryland in the 2021 season.
Lastly, van Wonderen, a sophomore defender, burst on the scene in her debut season in 2021, starting in all 20 games for the team and notching nine points, including two goals and five assists.
The Hoosiers open their 2022 season with two home games this weekend as part of the Hoosier Invitational, playing Kent State on Friday, Aug. 26 and No. 6 Liberty on Sunday, Aug. 28.
