Indiana Men’s Golf Inks Thomas Hursey

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana head men's golf coach Mike Mayer announced the addition of transfer Thomas Hursey on Wednesday afternoon.
"Thomas has already made a tremendously positive impact to our program both on and off the course," said Mayer. "He brings a wealth of experience and ability to our team and will be an immediate impact player. We will work diligently with Thomas and the School of Optometry to make sure he is able to accomplish all his aspirations both in golf and academics."

Hursey joined the Indiana men's golf team after four highly successful seasons at Division II powerhouse Ferris State. He was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) First Team twice and the Second Team after his sophomore season. Hursey was also named the GLIAC Conference Player of the Year after his junior season.
The Suttons Bay, Mich., native finished the '22 campaign as the 72nd-ranked Division II player according to GolfStat and played an average round score of 71.73 strokes in 12 counted rounds. He finished top-10 as an individual in 11 tournaments during his four-year run at FSU and claimed individual medalist honors in one tournament in each of the last three seasons.
He will have one season of eligibility remaining with the Hoosiers.
