BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Top Drawer Soccer released its preseason Top 100 list Wednesday (Aug. 24), and three Indiana men's soccer student-athletes featured within the top 50 of that list. IU is one of four programs with at least three players ranked that high.
No. 3: Daniel Munie
On Tuesday, redshirt senior defender Daniel Munie was named Top Drawer Soccer first-team Best XI as well as a College Soccer News Preseason first-team All-American. IU's team captain this season, Munie was an All-American and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 after leading the Hoosiers to an NCAA DI-best 13 clean sheets.
No. 38: Karsen Henderlong
Senior forward Karsen Henderlong is set to make his IU debut this season after his transfer from Xavier where he was a first-team All-BIG EAST selection a year ago. Henderlong tallied 22 goals and seven assists over three seasons in Cincinnati and had career-highs in goals (8) and assists (4) to lead the league in points (20) last fall.
No. 49: Herbert Endeley
Senior forward Herbert Endeley was a catalyst in the final third for IU in 2021, collecting two goals and a team-best six assists. Endeley has been an All-Big Ten selection in each of his first three seasons in cream and crimson, earning second-team laurels the last two years and all-freshman team honors his first season on campus.
The 2022 season will be the 50th varsity season for Indiana men's soccer and a celebration of the program's Tradition of Excellence. IU men's soccer is an eight-time NCAA Champion, 17-time Big Ten regular season champion, 15-time Big Ten Tournament Champion and has made 46 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including an active streak of 35 consecutive berths.
