
Three Women’s Golfers Named to Big Ten Watch List

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Junior Dominika Burdová, senior Valerie Clancy and redshirt senior Alexis Florio of the Indiana women's golf team were named Big Ten Players to Watch, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Dominika Burdová
Burdová, a transfer from Gardner Webb, posted a head-to-head winning percentage of nearly 70% in two seasons with the Runnin' Bulldogs. She was a member of the 2021 Big South Championships runner-up squad and posted a career stroke average of 75.4 will at Gardner Webb.
Valerie Clancy
The Mitchelstown, Ireland, native leads all returning Hoosiers in rounds played (53), career strokes average (77.42) and top-20 finishes (2). She has twice been named to the Academic All-Big Ten squad and was selected as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar following her junior campaign.
Alexis Florio
Florio, a graduate transfer from Columbia, left the Lions among the program's leaders in career scoring average, career scoring average vs. par, par or better rounds, rounds played, birdies, par-3 scoring, and par-4 scoring during her prolific run in the Ivy League. She posted Columbia's lowest scoring average each of her final two seasons on campus.
Indiana opens the season on Sept. 18-20 at the Badger Invitational at the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis.
