Indiana vs. No. RV/23 Illinois

• Indiana (12-6, 3-4) defeated No. RV/23 Illinois (13-6, 4-4), 80-65, on Thursday night at the State Farm Center.
• This was Indiana's third win over a ranked opponent this season, previously beating No. 18/15 North Carolina and No. 18/18 Wisconsin.
• IU shot 61.8% (34-of-55) from the field. It was their fourth best shooting percentage against a Big Ten team since 2001. Previously, IU has shot 70.2% vs. Wisconsin in 2001, 67.4% against Michigan in 2011 and 62.5% against Northwestern in 2003.
• In the first half, Indiana shot 66.7% (20-of-30) from the field, the second-best shooting half of the season for the Hoosiers. The best was the second half against Jackson State, shooting 68% (17-of-25) on Nov. 25, 2022.
• Indiana scored 54 points in the paint.
• Indiana got 16 points on second-chance points.
• Indiana outrebounded Illinois, 39-27.
• IU led for 36:29 of the game.
• Indiana will be back at home for its next game, as it hosts Michigan State on Sunday, Jan. 22 at noon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Senior Trayce Jackson-Davis had a season-high 35 points on 15-of-19 shooting from the field with nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
• It was his career-high scoring output against a Big Ten opponent. His previous high was 34 points against Michigan State on Feb. 20, 2021.
• This was Jackson-Davis' ninth 30-plus point game of his career. It was also his fifth 20-plus point game of the season and the 37th of his career.
• Junior Jordan Geronimo had 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting with eight rebounds and three blocks.
• This was the first time Geronimo scored in double figures in back-to-back games since the first two games of the season when Geronimo had 10 vs. Morehead State and 11 vs. Bethune-Cookman.
• Junior Trey Galloway scored 11 points with two assists.
• Freshman Jalen Hood-Schifino accounted for 10 points, four assists and three rebounds.
• Fifth-year senior Miller Kopp had six points, three steals and two rebounds. The three steals tied his career-high. The previous time was against Indiana on Feb. 10, 2021.
• Freshman Malik Reneau recorded five points and six rebounds.
• Sophomore Tamar Bates notched three rebounds for the game.
• Freshman CJ Gunn got eight minutes of run.
• Freshman Kaleb Banks charted one minute on the night.
