Indiana Wrestling Adds Bahl and Lowery to 2023 Recruiting Class

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––––– Indiana Wrestling head coach Angel Escobedo announced the signing of two more in-state recruit class to the team's 2023 signing class on Saturday.
Indiana is adding Anthony Bahl and Bryce Lowery in addition to Sam Goin and Aidan Torres. The entire group will arrive in Bloomington in the fall of 2023.
Bahl is a Crown Point native and is a teammate of Sam Goin's at Crown Point High School. Lowery hails from Indianapolis and attends Roncalli High School.
Anthony Bahl | 141 lbs. | Crown Point, Ind.
· A standout wrestler for Crown Point High School … a two-time placer at the IHSAA State Tournament … 2022 IHSAA State runner-up at 132 lbs. … 2021 IHSAA State fifth place at 113 lbs. … part of two-time state championship team with Crown Point … went 5-2 at the 2022 Super 32 Tournament … wrestler for Region Wrestling Academy.

Bryce Lowery | 157/165 lbs. | Indianapolis, Ind.
· A star grappler from Roncalli High School … three-time IHSAA State placer in 2020, 2021, and 2022 … finished in fifth place at 138 lbs. in 2022 IHSAA State Tournament … three-time sectional and regional champion … three-time semi-state finalist … four-time county and conference champion … owns a 30-0 record in his senior season … wrestles for Red Cobra Wrestling Club.

· Why IU: "I chose IU because after my visit there, because of not only wrestling, but life as a wrestler really mirrors what I want in college, and I think I can grow and reach my goals there.
