Hoosiers Drop Match Against Mountaineers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis drops their first match of the season against the West Virginia Mountaineers, 4-3, at the IU Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
Mila Mejic won the No. 5 singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 putting the Hoosiers on the scoreboard after West Virginia claimed the doubles point.
Lara Schneider would keep Indiana close as she swept the No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-1.
Graduate Saby Nihalani came up with a win in the No. 2 singles match. She defeated her opponent after a tiebreaker set in the second, 6-1, 7-6 (6-1).
NOTABLES
• Nihalani is now 3-0 in singles matches on the season. She has won her last two singles matches in tiebreaker sets.
• Schneider is 2-0 in singles matches after dominating performances against Cincinnati and West Virginia.
