No. 13 Indiana Takes First Two Games of Hoosier Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On day one of the Hoosier Invite, Indiana showed a great mix of offense and defense. Scoring 33 goals in total and only allowing 13, the team focused on runs to get ahead of their opponent and relied on their defense to maintain their lead.
KEY MOMENTS
- In the first game against Villanova, the Hoosiers jumped out to an 8-0 lead out of the gates, with eight different players each scoring a goal. They piled on five more in the second to take a 13-2 lead at the break.
- Junior center Robyn Greenslade would lead the way with three goals against the Wildcats as sophomores Sophia Sollie, Skylar Kidd and Portia Sasser each added two along with freshmen Grace Klingler and Louisa Downes also putting two in the net.
- Freshman goalie Jasmine Higgs saw time in the cage in the second half, recording 10 saves, as Indiana cruised to a 19-5 win in game one.
- After a 6-5 first half against Harvard, the team took over in the second, scoring eight goals to Harvard's three.
- Junior defender Kallie White recorded a hat trick, Greenslade, Sollie, and senior Zoe Crouch added two goals a piece in the win against the Crimson
- Sophomore attacker Grace Hathaway and Kidd both tacked on three assists, adding on to the ten total assists for the Hoosiers.
- Graduate student Mary Askew had nine saves, taking away Harvard chances at scoring goals.
NOTES
- 12 Hoosiers recorded goals against Villanova while six different players had two steals for a total of 17. Kidd and Sasser each had a team-high two assists in the win over the Wildcats.
- Graduate student goalkeeper Mary Askew played goalie in the first half against Villanova, recording five saves.
- Kidd won all four of her sprints in the second game against Harvard.

The Hoosiers play two games to close out the Hoosier Invite against McKendree at 10:30 a.m. ET and Marist at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.
