• Penn State leads the all-time series with Indiana, 25-2.
• Indiana's game captains were WR Cam Camper, DL Andre Carter, LB Aaron Casey and OL Mike Katic.
• Penn State won the coin toss and deferred. Indiana received the opening kick.
• DB Jordan Shaw made his collegiate debut to push the season total to 14 collegiate debuts in 2023. His debut also moved the season total to seven true freshmen to appear in a game in 2023.
• WR Omar Cooper made his first career start to mark 16 Hoosiers' to make a first career start in 2023.
• With two touchdown passes of 60-plus yards, it marks the first game since at least 1996 that Indiana passes for two 60-plus yard touchdowns.
• Two 60-plus yard offensive touchdowns in the game mark the first time since 2014 that an Indiana offense produced multiple scores in a game. The 2014 game at Iowa featured two touchdown runs of 60-plus yards by Tevin Coleman (83 yards, 1st quarter; 69 yards, 4th quarter).
• Indiana's 90-yard touchdown pass from Brendan Sorsby to DeQuece Carter is tied for the third longest passing play in IU history.
• The play marked the fifth 90-plus yard TD play from scrimmage in program history and first since Tevin Coleman's 90-yard rush at Ohio State in 2014. The last 90-yard touchdown pass came in 1993 at Penn State, a 99-yard completion from John Paci to Thomas Lewis.

• Caught three passes for 104 yards in the game for his 12th career 100-yard receiving game and first as a Hoosier.
• Hauled in a career-long 90-yard reception for a touchdown in the first quarter.
• The 90-yard touchdown reception marked the third longest touchdown pass in IU history and the longest since a 99-yard touchdown pass at Penn State in 1999. It is the fifth touchdown from scrimmage of 90-yards or more in IU history (3 passing, 2 rushing).

• Logged 1.5 tackles for loss in his sixth career game with multiple tackles for loss and second of 2023.

• Punted four times for 57.5 yards per punt with one punt inside the 20-yard line.

• Intercepted Drew Allar with 5:02 left in the fourth quarter and returned it seven yards to the Penn State 21-yard line.
• It was Sanguinetti's third time recording an interception in a game. He also had an interception against Illinois (9/2/22) and against Michigan State (10/16/21).

• Made collegiate debut to move the number to seven true freshmen to appear in a game in 2023.
• Posted first career tackle on a second quarter tackle for loss to force a punt.

• All four totals are career highs in a game.
