Nov. 16, 2023
• Indiana (3-0) defeated Wright State (0-3) 89-80 Thursday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Indiana is now 3-0 for the third-straight season.
• Indiana head coach Mike Woodson is 16-1 during the month of November.
• IU now leads the series 3-0 against Wright State the last meeting being on Nov.14, 2010 (67-44).
Indiana shot 33-of-61 (54.1%) from the field.
• The Hoosiers scored 54 points in the first half, the highest IU output in a first half since dropping 58 against Troy on Nov.16, 2019.
• IU outscored Wright State 56-24 in points in the paint.
• Indiana had the lead the whole game.
• Sophomore center Kel'el Ware secured his second double-double of the season with a career-high 22 points and 12 rebounds (matched a career best). He converted 9-of-11 shots from the floor and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. The Oregon transfer added two blocks.
• Sophomore forward Malik Reneau netted a career-best 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He added eight rebounds, a career-high-tying five assists, and one block.
• Senior guard Trey Galloway scored 15 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the charity stripe. He dished out a career-best six assists to go along with a steal.
• Freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako scored a season-high 13 points on 6-of-6 from the line. Mgbako also added five rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
• Sixth-year senior guard Xavier Johnson scored nine points on 4-of-9 shooting while adding one assist, one block, and one rebound.
• Fifth-year senior forward Anthony Walker recorded five points while adding one rebound and one assist.
• Sophomore guard CJ Gunn recorded four points on 2-of-3 shooting while adding two assists, one rebound, and one steal.
• Sophomore forward Kaleb Banks also scored four points on 2-of-2 shooting while adding three rebounds and one block.
• Junior forward Payton Sparks recorded one point and one block in seven minutes of action.
• Freshman guard Gabe Cupps recorded four rebounds, and one assist in 17 minutes of action.
