• Indiana (3-1) dropped a 77-57 contest against No. 5/4 UConn (4-0) on Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
• IU holds a record of 14-13 in when playing in Madison Square Garden.
• The game marks the first Indiana loss in the month of November under head coach Mike Woodson since Nov. 30, 2021, a 112-110 setback in double overtime at Syracuse. IU is 16-2 over the last three years in the opening month of the season.
• Sophomore forward Malik Reneau posted a career-high 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. He added three rebounds, three blocks, and one steal in 27 minutes of run. The Miami, Fla., native converted 4-of-4 free throw attempts.
• Reneau has scored at least 14 points in all four games this season after hitting that figure just twice during his freshman season.
• Sophomore center Kel'el Ware finished the contest with 11 points and eight rebounds. He knocked down a pair of 3-point shots.
