• Indiana University continues its 124th season of competition in men's basketball with an exhibition matchup against Marian at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Tip is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 3.
• The Hoosiers open the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 7, against Florida Gulf Coast.

• Legendary Indiana men's basketball coach Bob Knight passed away on Nov. 1, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. He was 83 years old.
• Marian Director of Athletics, Steve Downing, was a three-year letter winner at Indiana. He was named the Big Ten men's basketball most valuable player in 1973 after averaging 20.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in leading the Hoosiers to the NCAA Final Four. In 1995, Downing was inducted into the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame and, in 2009, was inducted into the Indiana University Athletic Hall of Fame.
• Indiana holds a record of 30-0 in exhibition games against non-Division I opponents since 2004-05, including a mark of 2-0 against Marian.
• Last time out, IU used a second-half surge to topple UIndy to open the exhibition slate by a score of 74-52. Sophomore center Kel'el Ware and freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako each scored 14 points to pace the Hoosier offense. Sophomore forward Malik Reneau chipped in 12 points in the win.
