• Indiana (4-1) defeated Louisville (2-3) 74-66 on Monday evening at Madison Square Garden.
• The Hoosiers a record of 15-13 in when playing in Madison Square Garden.
• Indiana head coach Mike Woodson and Louisville head coach Kenny Payne spent one season (2020-21) together as assistant coaches with the New York Knicks.
• Under Woodson, IU is 17-2 in the month of November.
• Indiana held Louisville to 20-56 (35.7%) from the field and 5-19 (26.3%) from three.
• Indiana outscored Louisville 42-28 in points in the paint.
• IU finished with 18 assists on 24 made field goals.
• Sixth-year senior guard Xavier Johnson scored 14 points on 9-of-12 from the charity stripe while adding five assists, four rebounds, and one steal.
• Sophomore forward Malik Reneau scored 12 points on 3-of-5 shooting and a perfect 6-of-6 from the line. Reneau also added three rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

• Junior forward Payton Sparks scored a season-high nine points on 4-of-5 shooting while contributing three rebounds and one block.
• Sophomore guard CJ Gunn scored six points in 14 minutes of action.
• Sophomore forward Kaleb Banks posted career highs in rebounds (8), assists (3), blocks (3), and steals (3). He added four points.
• Freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako scored four points while adding three assists, one rebound, and one steal.
• Senior guard Trey Galloway scored two points while adding four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
• Freshman guard Gabe Cupps recorded one rebound and one assist in nine minutes of action.
