Three Indiana Wrestlers to Compete at 2023 Senior National Tournaments

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– Indiana wrestlers Jacob Bullock, Jacob Moran and Henry Porter will compete in their respective senior national tournaments this weekend in hopes of moving closer to Olympic qualification.
The events serve as a major step in the path to reaching the Olympics. The top placers per weight class will earn a spot in the 2024 Olympic Trials.
Senior+ Jacob Bullock and sophomore Henry Porter will compete in the United States' 2023 Senior National Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Jacob Moran will be competing in the Puerto Rico Senior National Championships in San Juan.
For the U.S. Senior Nationals, the top-five finishers at each weight class will receive a spot in the 2024 Olympic Trials. The Puerto Rico Senior National Championships is a qualifying tournament for the 2024 Pan America Championship and Olympic Qualifier tournament.
Should Bullock or Porter qualify this weekend, the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials will take place in April at State College, Pa. If Moran qualifies, he will compete in the 2024 Pan America Championship and Olympic Qualifier tournament will be held in Acapulco, Mexico.
This weekend, Moran will wrestle at 57 kg, Porter at 67 kg and Bullock will compete at 125 kg. All will compete in the freestyle division.
Indiana's Olympic Regional Training Center (Indiana RTC) will also have two athletes compete at the U.S. Senior Nationals in Devan Turner (57 kg) and Isaiah White (74 kg). Both will wrestle freestyle.
Bullock, Turner and White all earned seeds in the tournament bracket at their weight class. Bullock is No. 8 at 125 kg, Turner is No. 7 at 57 kg and White is No. 11 at 74 kg.
The tournaments will take place from Friday, Dec. 15 through Sunday, Dec. 17.
