CLEARWATER, Fla. – Indiana Softball (2-1) falls to No. 21 Auburn, 9-0, on the second day of the NFCA Leadoff Classic at Eddie C. Moore Complex.

KEY MOMENTS
• The Tigers scored early off a sac fly to right field to take the lead in the top of the first.
• In the bottom of the third, junior Aaliyah Andrews reached base after being hit by the pitch. Junior Brooke Benson was the next batter to step up as she hit a single to left field to advance Andrews, but the Tigers would escape the inning with a strikeout.
• Auburn extended the lead, 4-0, as they scored three runs off three hits in the top of the fourth.
• In the bottom of the sixth, sophomore utility Sarah Stone would get the second hit of the game on a single to shortstop. Copeland would reach first on an error advancing Stone, but the Tigers would get out of the inning on a fly out.
• Auburn would plate five runs in the seventh inning to extend their lead.
NOTABLES
• The Hoosiers advance to 2-0 for the first time since 2019 when the Hoosiers won 14 straight games.
• Brooke Benson reached base twice with a single and a walk. She also stole a team high of two bases.
• Heather Johnson pitched 3.2 innings, facing 18 batters.
• Freshman Sophie Kleiman made her first collegiate appearance on the mound.
