ANN ARBOR, Mich. –––– It was a tight dual and a 5-5 split on bouts won, but No. 18 Indiana fell just short to No. 12 Michigan, 23-18, on Sunday afternoon at Cliff Keen Arena.

This was Indiana's final Big Ten dual of the season. The loss drops Indiana's overall record to 7-5 and 3-5 in the Big Ten.

The three conference dual victories are the most Big Ten wins since the 2015-16 season.

KEY MOMENTS
• The match started off with a bang at 174 when No. 14 DJ Washington defeated No. 28 Max Maylor by fall (2:52) to give Indiana a 6-0 lead.
• Nick Willham (197) made his first appearance since the Minnesota match in his return from injury. The senior topped Michigan's Brendin Yatooma by decision, 5-2.
• No. 25-ranked Graham Rooks (149) controlled the pace and didn't allow a takedown in a 4-1 win over Fidel Mayora.
• Just like it started, the dual ended with an Indiana pin. Nick South (165) closed out the final match with a win by fall (2:55) over Alex Wesselman.

NOTABLES
• Washington's win was his second over a ranked opponent this season. It was also his 20^th win of the year.
• The win for Willham improved his season record to 15-7.
• Redshirt senior Graham Rooks (149) has won five of his last seven matches.
• South picked up his second pin of the Big Ten season.

• Indiana Wrestling will wrap up the regular season next weekend with the team's final dual on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Chattanooga with a 2 p.m. start.
