Indiana Wrestling Brings Joey Buttler Aboard to 2023 Signing Class

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Wrestling head coach Angel Escobedo announced the signing of Joey Buttler to the team's 2023 recruiting class on Wednesday morning.
Buttler is a standout from Whiteland Community High School and recently won first place at the IHSAA Wrestling State Championships at 132 lbs.
Buttler projects to wrestle at either 133 or 141 lbs. collegiately and is considered the No. 2-ranked prospect at 132 lbs. in the state of Indiana, according to IndianaMat.
He joins a signing class of Cheaney Schoeff, Bryce Lowery, Anthony Bahl, Sam Goin and Aidan Torres to make up Indiana's 2023 class. All six of them are native Hoosiers.
