• No. 17/17 Indiana (20-9, 11-7) defeated rival and No. 5/5 Purdue (24-5, 14-5), 79-71, on Saturday night at Mackey Arena.
• Indiana swept Purdue in a season series for the first time since the 2012-13 season.
• This was Indiana's first win at Mackey Arena since Jan. 30, 2013, when Indiana won 97-60.
• This was the 18th meeting in the series where both teams were ranked inside the Associated Press top-25. Indiana is 13-5 in the series when both teams are ranked.
• Indiana is 3-1 against Purdue in Mike Woodson's tenure as Indiana head coach.
• Indiana was shot 50.8% (31-of-61) from the field and 46.7% (7-of-15) from the 3-point line.
• Indiana's defense held Purdue to 34.9% (22-of-63) from the field and 21.7% (5-of-23) from the 3-point line.
• Indiana's eight turnovers tied for the fewest turnovers committed by the Hoosiers in a game this season. Indiana had done it three previous times in its wins over North Carolina, Wisconsin and Purdue at home.
• Sixteen of Indiana's baskets were off assists.
• Indiana had 34 points in the paint.
• Indiana's defense forced 10 Purdue turnovers and scored 12 points off the takeaways.
• Indiana will be back home for its next game when it hosts Iowa on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
• Freshman Jalen Hood-Schifino had a career-high 35 points on 14-of-24 shooting. The freshman also had seven rebounds and two assists.
• His scoring output was the second-most points scored by an IU freshman, only behind Jay Edwards' 36-point performance against Minnesota on March 10, 1988.
• The only Indiana players to have ever scored more points in a road game are Alan Henderson (41 at Michigan State), Bracey Wright (39 at North Texas), Steve Alford (38 at Wisconsin), Damon Bailey (36 at Kansas) and Jay Edwards (36 at Minnesota).
• Hood-Schifino is the first Indiana player to score 20-plus points at Mackey Arena since Kevin 'Yogi' Ferrell scored 21 points on Jan. 28, 2015 at Purdue.
• This was Hood-Schifino's fifth game of his career scoring 20 or more points.
• Fifth-year senior Miller Kopp had 13 points, two assists and two rebounds. Kopp was 3-of-7 shooting from the 3-point line. This was his ninth game of the season making three or more 3-pointers.
• Junior Trey Galloway posted 13 points, five assists and four rebounds. His five assists tied his career-high which he has reached in four other contests.
• Senior Trayce Jackson-Davis recorded 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
• Jackson-Davis is now in sole possession of the fourth-most points scored in Indiana's all-time career scoring leaders with 2,110 points. He was previously tied with A.J. Guyton with 2,100.
• Sixth-year senior Race Thompson accounted for six points and five rebounds.
• Freshman Malik Reneau had two points and three rebounds.
• Sophomore Tamar Bates got 11 minutes of run in the game.
• Junior Jordan Geronimo played for four minutes.
