Indiana Men’s Tennis Drops Road Match at No. 24 Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. ––––– The No. 52-ranked Indiana Men's Tennis team lost a tough road match at No. 24 Cornell, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center.

The match started out very intensely with it coming down to the wire for the doubles point. Cornell won the No. 1 doubles match and Indiana won at No. 3 doubles. Cornell's No. 2 doubles duo of Vlad Melnic and Radu Papoe barely edged Indiana's Sam Landau and Luc Boulier, 7-6 (7-5).

Cornell took the 1-0 lead and then won at No. 4, 5 and 2 singles to clinch the win.

Indiana is now 9-3 on the season. The Hoosiers will be back in action next weekend for two more road matches against east coast teams, going to Princeton and Yale.
