• Indiana University continues its 123rd season of competition in men's basketball with an opportunity to avenge its first loss of the Big Ten slate this season against Rutgers at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 7 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game will be broadcast on BTN.

• Indiana claimed the first six games of the series with Rutgers, including the first five as Big Ten foes. However, since the 2018 Big Ten Tournament, the Scarlet Knights have won eight of the last nine matchups against the Hoosiers. RU has won six-straight games in the series over IU.
• The Hoosiers traveled to Piscataway on Dec. 3 as the No. 10-ranked team in the country and left with a 63-48 loss at Jersey Mike's Arena. The Big Ten-opening loss marked the first of the 2022-23 season for the Hoosiers.
• Fifth-year senior forward Miller Kopp matched his career high with five made 3-point shots. He tallied a team-high 21 points to go along with three rebounds in the loss.

• The Indiana men's basketball program will wear their "Honoring Black Excellence" symbolic uniforms. The floral design will prominently feature the Indiana state flower, the peony, as a symbolic representation of giving someone their flower, an expression that represents showing someone how much they are appreciated and cherished.
Jackson-Davis, The All-American
• Since the calendar flipped to 2023, senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis averaged 23.2 points, 13.8 rebounds, 3.9assists, and 3.6 blocks per game.
• Over the last 25 years of basketball only Jackson-Davis, Tim Duncan, and Shaquille O'Neal have averaged at least 23.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game in a calendar month (min. 5 games) in Division I basketball or the NBA.
• Jackson-Davis made 92-of-170 (54.1%) of his shots from the floor and 48-of-66 (72.7%) of his free throw attempts in the first 10 games of the new year.
• TJD posted three 30-pooint games in the month of January, including back-to-back games with 35 points at Illinois (Jan. 19) and 31 points against Michigan State (Jan. 22). He also grabbed at least 20 rebounds three times during the stretch of nine games.

• After hitting double figures in the scoring column just twice in his first six collegiate games, freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino scored 10-plus points in his next nine games.
• Since returning to the Indiana lineup against Kansas on Dec. 17, Hood-Schifino is averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals on 44.1% shooting from the floor and 44.9% shooting from the 3-point line. He has 10 double-digit scoring outputs during that stretch, including three games exceeding the 20-point threshold.
• Hood-Schifino scored a career-best 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the floor and 5-of-7 shooting from the 3-point line against Northwestern on Jan. 8, the highest point total by a Hoosier freshman since Eric Gordon scored 33 against Chattanooga on Nov. 12, 2007.
• JHS ranks third among all freshmen in the Big Ten in scoring (12.5 points per game), second in assists (4.3), fourth in rebounds (4.0), and fifth in made 3-pointers per game (1.4). He is second in the league averaging a combined 20.7 points, rebounds, and assists per game.
Reneau for Two
• After scoring 64 total points (10.7 per game) in his first six collegiate games, freshman forward Malik Reneau tallied just 64 points (4.9) in his next 13 games.
• The Miami native has regained his footing and has averaged 9.8 points in his last four games, including a career-high-matching 15 points against Ohio State. He has hit 15-of-21 (71.4%) during the four-game stretch.
• The 6-9 forward is averaging 9.0 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 68.0% (17-of-25) from the floor in his last five games.
