BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––––– Indiana Field Hockey coach Kayla Bashore has announced the addition of Sarah Charley to the team for the 2023 season.
Charley is a transfer from Ohio State, where she played four years for the Buckeyes. She is also an Ohio native, originally from Worthington and attended Thomas Worthington High School.
She will use her final year of eligibility this upcoming season.
Charley was a standout forward in her four years at Ohio State and was an integral part to the team's success.
As a forward, Charley was always a key part of Ohio State's offensive attack, notching 25 goals and eight assists in Columbus. In her senior season, she led the team in goals scored with 12 and had two assists to go along with them.
In three of Charley's four seasons at Ohio State, the team reached the Big Ten Tournament, including a run to the Big Ten Tournament title game in the spring of 2021 where it lost to Michigan.
In high school, Charley was named the Ohio Player of the Year twice and was a three-time member of the All-Ohio team. She was named an All-American twice, as well.
She helped Thomas Worthington win four district and division championships and three state championships while leading the team in scoring every year, recording 109 career goals.
